Sarah Shahi stars in NBC’s Reverie, premiering this summer. This grounded new thriller follows Mara Kint (Sarah Shahi), a former hostage negotiator and expert on human behavior, who became a college professor after facing an unimaginable personal tragedy. But when she’s brought in to save ordinary people who have lost themselves in a highly advanced virtual-reality program in which you can literally live your dreams, she finds that in saving others, she may actually have discovered a way to save herself.
Prior to this role Shahi starred in the series “Person of Interest” and “Fairly Legal.” Her additional television credits include “Chicago Fire,” “Life,” “Sleeper Cell,” “The L Word,” “Alias,” “Teachers,” “Sopranos”, “Ray Donavan” and “Dawson’s Creek.”

Also, Shahi has appeared in a number of feature films and was most recently seen in “Hangman” , opposite Al Pacino. She appeared opposite Sylvester Stallone in the action movie “Bullet to the Head,”  “Static” and the independent film “The Trouble with Bliss.” Her other theatrical credits include “Old School,” “For Your Consideration,” “Shades of Ray,” “Crossing Over” and “I Don’t Know How She Does It.”

Shahi hails from Euless, Texas, located near Forth Worth, and she was a member of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. During her NFL cheerleading career, she graced the cover of the 2000 Dallas Cowboy Cheerleading Calendar and embarked on a global USO tour to entertain troops in Bosnia, Macedonia, Kosovo and Italy.

When the feature “Dr. T and the Women” filmed in Dallas, Shahi was given a role as an extra. During a chance meeting with the film’s director, Robert Altman, he encouraged her to move to Los Angeles to pursue acting.
